Magnitude 7.8 Earthquake in Indonesia May Cause Tsunami in Pacific Ocean

Indonesia is on tsunami watch after the region was rocked by an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8.

The National Weather Service reports that the earthquake occurred in the Irian Jaya region of the country.

A tsunami warning was issued for countries bordering the Pacific Ocean, except for the coasts of Canada and the United States.
